It is time to “Take Me Out To The Ball Game!” I can’t tell you how excited I am that the baseball season has started again! I’ve been attending major league and minor league baseball games since I was a kid, and still, become giddy when the season begins each year.
There are ample non-vegan food options at every major league stadium, and they continually find new ways to create bizarre ballpark eats. But what about us vegans? Are the only options left french fries, Cracker Jacks, and soda? No, the answer is no! The owners and managers of MLB stadiums are taking notice of the growing number of vegans, and are starting to offer more vegan-friendly fares.
When I first became a vegetarian in 2012, my first thought wasn’t what am I going to eat daily, it was, what am I going to eat when I go to a baseball game?? It was a real concern for me. I have been to ballparks across the country, but Globe Life Park, home to the Texas Rangers, has offered the most vegan-friendly options so far. There is even a dedicated vegan food stand at Globe Life – it had a huge line when we went! T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington also has several options, including vegan sushi (I will have to go back to take a picture for you all, which is just another excuse for me to get back to the ballpark!).

I am not the only one searching for vegan-friendly options while enjoying games. PETA
have released articles in the past few years outlining vegan eats. There is also a website, Veggie Happy
, that allows users to filter down to the location, venue, or sport to see what options are at each park. The Vegetarian Resource Group has also compiled a list of Vegetarian and Vegan Foods at Major League Ballparks

It is safe to say you will have at least one or two options next time you are at the ballpark cheering on your favorite team!
So get out there and enjoy the season…and Go Sox!
In our happy place!
